Surviving Groupwork

Surviving Groupwork

I have an assignment to make a journal entry after each Fashion Cycle Class.

Class date: October 6, 2016

Maybe some people love working in groups, but I am not one of them. I’ve found a few tips that I feel I need to work on, so that I will hopefully become a better team member.

  1. Establish common goals, outline objectives, and keep meetings on task. Seems obvious, but I think I can forget sometimes.
  2. Avoid personal criticism. I often forget that other people may not have the same opinions I do. Being too critical is something I work on through all my life, not just in group work.
  3. Listen to classmates.

Class Date: October 13, 2016

I have a few details to finish up next week, but here is our mostly finished tote bag.

We finished our bags and they were delivered to Bird on a Wire, where they are available for purchase.
