Burdastyle Knit Dress

Burdastyle Knit Dress

Spring has finally arrived. It was pretty exciting to wear my new dress, my far from perfect, yet perfectly acceptable dress. This is a pretty basic dress, the pleats are kind of cute, but the lack of pockets are frustrating. I did omit the zipper, why would a knit dress need a zipper?

Instead of adding a couple of extra inches at the waist like I usually do, I followed proper instructions for lengthening a bodice and added length at the armscyes, then adjusted the sleeves to fit. The fit is okay; maybe the darts go a tad too high, or perhaps they are just poorly sewn.

It would be cuter with a bit more flare to the skirt.

I'm not loving the pleats from this angle.

Adeline approved, saying it was a Cinderella dress. Now where does Cinderella keep her keys and wallet?
