March is roaring in with too much ambition. I’ve whittled it down to 4 contestants.
Burdastyle 3/2009 Pattern 102 Dress : This is a no brainer for me. Jersey dress with a sewing course. It’s all cut out and ready to go.
Burdastyle 3/2006 Pattern 116 Top : This is one I’ve considered many times over the years. It will give me more practice sewing and fitting woven fabrics.
Burdastyle 3/2009 Pattern 132 Men’s Shirt: Making Simon a shirt has been on my list for a while. Plus I have a shirt making Craftsy course that I purchased and have yet to watch.
Burdastyle 3/2008 Pattern 131 Girl’s Shorts: There is no good reason for me to make this; Adeline probably won’t wear them, since it’s not a dress. The problem is I love them, and by next year she may be larger than the largest size. Needless to say, this is at the bottom of the list.
And once all that is complete, there are a few coveted items in the March Ottobre issue.
One of the best things about blogging is the added focus it has given to my sewing. Before this I would finish a project and then forget about sewing until the night before sewing class. A huge scramble would ensue resulting in a not very well planned project. Now I spend time thinking about projects a couple of weeks before I start them. Constraining my Burdastyle choices to the given month has also been really helpful. It’s way less overwhelming looking through 8 magazines instead of 100.
Thanks for stopping by. I would love to hear how you plan out your sewing projects.
