Double Breasted Blouse

Double Breasted Blouse

Hurray!! It’s done (Burda 02/2007 pattern 13); it’s not perfect, but it’s wearable (if it ever gets warm enough).

I'm thinking to myself, "Job well done!".

I added 2.5″ in length at the waist (I’m pretty tall), but I think it needs an inch more under the bust so those top 2 buttons start a bit lower. Or perhaps I need some sort of bust adjustment; I usually work with knits which are more forgiving. It’s also feels a bit tight when I move my arms, but maybe that’s just what a woven shirt feels like. I’d love to know, can you make a well-fitted perfectly comfortable shirt from a non-stretch woven?

Who will notice the imperfect fit when this cute guy is around?

Thanks for stopping by. I’m off to check out what other people are sewing up for the Burda Challenge 2015.
